Direct cremation

A Direct cremation is a no service, no attendance cremation where only the basics are provided by the funeral home. It is an alternative to a traditional funeral, meaning no family or friends are in attendance. +Recommended Prices are inclusive of GST.

Based on a standard adult week day cremation. The professional fee covers the management of the cremation, including all administrative and legal requirements, guidance through the arrangement, with support available by phone and email 24/7 – $850+ value

Transfer from place of death, or other location and to crematorium in a specialised funeral vehicle within a 70km radius, to a registered mortuary chosen by the funeral home. The body will be kept in an approved mortuary/holding room and will only be transported for the purposes of the funeral service as per the final agreement – $995 value.

Headstone, memorial plaque, fees for gravedigger or internment of ashes, visiting the funeral home, attending the burial and choice of day or time of burial are not included.

Simple funeral service

A Private funeral service is an attended cremation where family and friends have a single ceremony, event or service for the person who’s died. +Recommended Prices are inclusive of GST.

Private Service (typically a service at a single venue for a period of up to 60 mins). Based on a standard weekday cremation. The professional fee covers the management of the cremation, including all administrative and legal requirements, guidance through the arrangement, with support available by phone and email 24/7 – $3,000+ value

Transfer from place of death, or other location and to crematorium in a specialised funeral vehicle (hearse) within a 70km radius, to an approved mortuary chosen by the funeral home. The body will be kept in an approved mortuary/holding room and will only be transported for the purposes of the funeral service as per the final agreement – $1,200+ value

Additional fees you must pay

Our recommended funeral home fees do not include the following items. Additional fees you must pay are only for those items that you select or that are required by law. These prices will vary in each State depending on your needs and preferences. You will be invoiced by the funeral home for the following additional fees, based on legal requirements or your choices. Prices must be fully disclosed by our funeral home partner on request. Please discuss the costs of additional fees you must pay with the funeral home prior to purchase.

Prices are fixed by individual cemeteries and crematoria, and will vary in each State based on your location, crematorium selected, choice of funeral home and individual circumstances. Please discuss and confirm the location of the crematorium/cemetery and fixed fees with the funeral home prior to contract. A list of crematoriums/cemeteries can be found here.

If applicable, a weekday after-hours transfer or a weekend/public holiday transfer fee will apply.

As charged by supplier If applicable, additional charge per kilometre if the place of death or service is more than 100km from the funeral home location.

If applicable, a dual service fee (typically a church service followed by a committal at crematorium or cemetery) will apply.

If applicable, additional fees will be charged for an oversized version of the coffin.

If applicable, additional fees will be charged by the cemetery for services that exceed the allotted booking time.

If applicable, a funeral service held on a weekend will be subject to a Saturday/Sunday service fee.

Optional items and terms

The funeral home partner can give you a full list of what they can supply. These items are optional and you may choose to take care of some arrangements yourself, or you can use a different supplier.  Our funeral home partners must give you an itemised price list of what additional services they can supply. They are likely to charge for these optional products and services and you will be invoiced separately based on your choices. Please discuss the costs of optional items with our funeral home partners prior to purchase.

During business hours (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm), After hours viewing fee (Monday to Friday from 5pm), Venue cleaning fee (if required).
